Awohalitsiktoli
Unbelievable, they actually pulled the plug and are not going to allow TV viewers to watch Aung San Suu Kyi give her acceptance speech for the Nobel Peace Prize. This country is so far behind. It is a sad day for Thailand.
GreenSnapper
Who cares? She had better go to the areas where buddhists and muslims kill each other. This would qualify for a peace nobel price.
Awohalitsiktoli
Sorry, I spoke too soon. It looks like it is being shown right now on BBC.
Mobi
Who pulled the plug and on what channel? I am currently watching it live on BBC World, courtesy of Thai cable TV. If a Thai broadcaster took it off the air it is far more likely to be because it is in English and they can't be bothered to translate it so it will be of little interest to mass audiences, - and they will get better ratings showing a Thai soap - rather than any devious plan to censor the ceremony. metisdead
It was also live on CNN. It is good that she finally got to receive her Peace Prize. As the topic title and opening post are incorrect, this topic will now close.
