Air Asia Changes

Featured Replies

With the Air Asia changes in Don Muang.

People will have to look at their bookings if connecting to other Airlines.

I was just about to book flights to Singapore when i saw Air Asia do a flight from Bangkok.

So this will save me money as i was going to use Asia Jetstar.

It was a bummer Air Asia cancelling the Chiang Mai To Singapore direct flight.

It took me 9 weeks to get my money back fro the cancelled flight.

I was about to rebooked for a December Flight.

I hope that the flights will be the same times.

Anyone have any thoughts before i rebook.

Allow for between 1-2hrs to get from Don Muang to Swampy! I advise you take the toll way all the way there too. Ridiculous decision to do this, as the two airports couldn't be further apart if they tried!!!

There is no relevance with the airports being so far apart when you are looking to travel in December you will be able to fly from Chiangmai to Bangkok Don Muang and then from Bangkok Don Muang to Singapore.

All Air Asia domestic flights, including Chiangmai, in to Don Muang will meet up with their international flights to:

Australia,

Cambodia,

China,

Hong Kong,

India,

Indonesia,

Japan,

Macau,

Malaysia,

Myanmar,

Singapore,

South Korea,

Sri Lanka,

Vietnam

Seems a good business move to me and is definitely relevant to Chiangmai.

Circa 40 mins taxi ride @ ~400 baht (incl tolls) isn't too bad. Is it?

Well from On Nut - Donmuang took around 40mins when I lived in BKK before. Must be at least an hour from the airport and that's if you get a clear run.

Actually was looking at it if your were flying with an international long haul carrier onto U.K or U.S, forgot that their whole fleet and not just domestic flights will operate from DM.... My bad.

Since this topic now seems all about Don Muang then there is already a topic about this here --->
