I was copying some movie files to a cd quickly,to clean up my computer

and there was an error saying 'can not complete copy to disc'. When I looked at the

cd again I noticed that all previous data from the cd had vanished.

I wasn't too concerned as I could probably recover this later. But now when I put a blank

cd in and try to access it through windows I get an error saying D drive is not accessable

..Incorrect Function.

I then tried a blank sony DVD and have had the error, please insert a disk?.

Music cds play ok, and vcds aswell?

Can anyone help me with this? Is my D drive corrupt in anyway?

Thanks

That's it, the windows autoplay pops up when the cd is inserted. I click on 'Open writable

cd folder using windows' and then I get the error message.

I can copy files through Nero to cd, so I think there's a problem with windows?

Right-click on the d: icon

then Properties

then Recording

MAke sure the 'enable CD recording on this drive' is checked

Fair play spog...you got it in one, now it works.

What speed is best x??

Thanks again

Ha!

I win!!

Choose 'fastest' - CD burners usually work best at the fastest speed that they can handle (counter to what your brain might tell you)
