Retirement Visa To A Work Permit

Featured Replies

I came here a number of years ago on an O visa, when I reached 50 I went to a 'retirement' visa. If I want to work and get a work permit, job is already waiting for me, do I need to leave the country and get a new visa?My last O visa was in 2008 and my current retirement visa ( permit to stay) is based on that. Can I apply for a work permit using the old O visa?

Anyone have a definitive answer? Thanks in advance guys.

You will have to leave the country and and get a Non-imm B

Unless you are also married to a Thai and can change extension to that suspect you will have to end the retirement and obtain a non immigrant B visa for extension for work (if eligible).
