binnsy
I am considering selling my/our house due to a marriage breakup. I have found a house to rent my question is what documents do I need from the landlord to show that i have rented the property to show the Immigration Dept where I am going to be living in the future. beano2274
What kind of extension will you be applying for? Based on children based on being over 50? I just had the rental agreement, but it was never asked for. Do remember that if you are on an extension the day you get divorced is the day you have to leave Thailand. If on a visa then you can stay until the visa runs out. Edited June 29, 2012 by beano2274
Mario2008
Rental contract or utility bill (like telephone or electric) will normally do. Might also need a copy of the house owners house registration book. If married to a Thai and on an extension based on your marriaga, your permission to stay ends the day you divorce. That day you have to go to immigration to cancel your permission to stay, but at that time you can ask for an extension of stay based on another reason.
