DIRECTOR OF GOVT PUBLIC WAREHOUSE CHARGED ON IRREGULARITIES IN RICE SCREENING COMPANIES.

The Royal Thai Police’s inspector-general General Seripisut Temiyawet (เสรีพิศุทธิ์ เตมียาเวช) prepares to prosecute director of Government Public Warehouse and commissions related to screening companies charged with inspecting the quality of rice.

Police General Seripisut said that the selection of the companies was not transparent, adding that the initial investigation found irregularities in the selection process. He said that he will prosecute director of the Government Public Warehouse as president of the selection process and 8 members of the commission. He said that today, he will investigate director of the Government Public Warehouse Noppasul Angtawanit (นภศูล อังคทะวานิช) and other members for the last day, before he submits reports to deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister Somkid Jatusripitak (สมคิด จาตุศรีพิทักษ์).

The investigation found many irregularities in the selection process, such as changes of members of the selection committee. Some of the committee members have close relations to the president.
