Popular Post Michaelaway
The humble Banana; whatta fruit. So good for you, and sooooooooooooooooooo many varieties from which to choose. Anyway, the favorite & first choice at our house are the diminutive Nu Meu Puying, or "lady finger" bananas. Like many special things, these bananas are not available much of the year, but take my word for it, when you see them- buy them. These beauties are sweet and delicious! Bought these today, 30 baht. What's your favorite? Check this link for some great photos of Thai banana varieties: http://forums.garden...2047276277.html

billd766
Gluai hom. The bigger bananas and the same shape as the ladys fingers. I live in Khampaeng Phet province which I understand has the largest number of different types. There are red bananas north of KPP in the Lampang region I believe. rice555
Hello All, till Oct. 2 there is a food fair in the Main Hal(by Mc D's)l at The Mall Korat. The far side, away from Mc D's is a display of bananas, and plants are for sale. For info on growing bananas and where you can buy plants, try the Farming Forum, there are several threads already with some pictures, just use the search function. rice555
