Monthly Income Tax On A 35k Salary?

Featured Replies

What's the monthly income tax on a 35,000 baht salary (paid by a limited company)?

So far we've been paying 1,940 baht a month but I get some tax back each year.

Could I pay a little less per month?

Thanks!

Just curious, you said you get some tax back each year.

I've worked in Thailand the past year, and have paid taxes. Do I have to file something with the Thai Tax authority? If so, what are the chances of me getting a refund? What are some common items that can be deducted?

Matt

You're a bit stingy on required info, but let me guess: you're not married, you don't have kids, you're not paid any bonus and you don't pay any deductible insurances?

In that case your monthly income tax should amount to 1,917 baht - well, at least that's what my calculator tells buy means of input from this thread:

Thanks for the reply rishi. Sorry not to supply more information.

I am not married, I don't have children and I'm not paid any bonus.

But I do pay social insurance each month, so I think I should be paying 1,841.67 per month. Right?

Annual salary = 35,000x12 = 420,000

Employment deduction = -60,000

Personal allowance = -30,000

Social insurance contributions = 750 x 12 = -9,000

taxable income = 321,000

100,001k-321,000@10% = 22,100

Monthly tax = 22,100/12 = 1,841.67
