July 6, 201214 yr Here's the situation: Myself, two kids have Irish passports and the Mrs got an Irish visa for a holiday in Ireland starting 22nd July. Our return flight Dublin to Amsterdam has an 8 hour stop over so that I can take our kids to see Anne Franks house and the Van Gogh museum, My Mrs decided to get a Shengen visa so that she can come into Amsterdam with us. The Shengen visa she got says MULTI and category C. Our question is: Can we also take a couple of days break to Greece on that Shengen visa or is it somehow limited to Holland? Thanks Mick
July 7, 201214 yr You can travel anywhere within Schengen, and that includes Greece providing there is validity remaining. As always, if you have to pass through a border control your wife would be subject to questioning by an Immigration Officer. theoldgit
July 8, 201213 yr Author Thanks 'git (hehe) I was just concerned that, in the application, she stated that she was going to Amsterdam and that somehow her visa was limited to Holland. But when we received the visa it stated MULTI so hence the plan for a couple of days somewhere else while the kids are being pampered by their granny.
