arkom
A friend of mine was working at company A and recently went to a job interview with company B, the hiring manager at company B be called her manager at company A as a reference. Her manager at company A fired her after they found out she was interviewing with another employer. She was told her manger was jealous or betrayed that she was looking for other work as reason for termination. She has never been written up or received and verbal warnings regarding her work performance before hand. Would this be considered grounds for termination? Sunbelt Asia
An employee cannot be fired for going to another job interview. If your friend did not get severance then she is due it, please feel free to contact us via PM or email as Sunbelt can help make sure she gets what she is owed.
