I'm looking for the penal code of Thailand, either English or Thai version,

more specifically i'm looking for the penalty range for driving under influence of alcohol.

It should look something like this, but i couldn't find the penalty range for DUI

.....And to those wanting to come here and say "up to police"

--don't waste my time, there is a law and a penalty made up already

So a range from 400-1000 Baht if i understand this right

No, I believe you would be charged for a combination of sub sections a to h, with each sub-section being at 400 to 1,000 baht each.

Example: a, b, d and h which would set you back up to 4,000 baht.

In real life however, it is up to the police, even if you don't want to hear it. As most Thais will be happy to pay the police officer what he demands as its better then to get processed at the police station (they process extremely slowly and its not a private affair).

From what I've heard, it can be up to 10,000 baht if you are caught driving under the influence. (in Bangkok)

Either way, if you want exact figures, visit a lawyer.

and of course depending on the severity of the offence, in the case of a farang, they could also pull your visa and kick you out the country, not suggesting this is what they would do, but important to understand that they could do it, there is provision in the law to do this if the judge so desired....my advice get yourself a lawyer
