Hi guys,

I see that thai embassy or immigration requires 400k in bank statement or 40k monthly salary for a 12 month visa or extension...

Would like to know the 40k monthly salary must be local thai or foreign transfered salary ?

Well my current mode of income is from ebay which i earn around $2000 per month or equal to THB 60k per month .

Can i show them my monthly ebay income statement ?

400k in Thai Bank : Does the money needs to be in the bank for 2 or 3 month ? But i dont see the policy regulation of the immigration written any where about 2 or 3 month money in bank

Really confused with the 40k monthly salary. Can someone help me on this.

Thanks

I assume you are married to a Thai.

Monthly income must be show with tax receipt or income statement from your embassy.

400.000 in bank is 2 two months for married to Thai.

The requirement is clearly listed in police order 777/2551 (Google will find) and for Thai wife extension the requirement is two months for money to be in account.

last time i did it had to my income alone and bank account sole name only, Thai loigc live alone retired need 800,000 in bank. Married with depndant wife need 400,000 in bank!!! simplistict but true. Also based on last time i did it needed a letter from consulate to show i had income of 40,000 per month, UK consulate i doubt would accept ebay statement not unless its a regular income hittng the bank account backed up by bank statements. Again based on my experience income in my UK account was OK for consulate, did not have to be here in Thailand, i just showed 3 months UK bank statements.

Am not getting my head around that one. Your asking if your wife can be your son?
