MrZM
Does anyone know where I can buy bagels in Pattaya? I have looked in bakeries I know of and a few western supermarkets, I just can't find a bagel! Something I miss from home! Anything you miss from your home country that you can't get here?

Beetlejuice
Oh, how I miss my bagels. Years ago I used to buy them in Petticoat Lane, East London along with a big plate of Tubby Isaacs Jellied eels and servings of home made cream cheeses. Up here in Chiang Mai, I have seen these rolls that they call bagels but are actually only plain bread rolls made to look like the real thing. They`re just not the same. My guess is that the real McCoy Jewish type bagels are not to be found anywhere in Thailand. Certainly a great business opportunity for anyone or company that can make them and introduce them over here. would probably be the biggest thing to hit the ex-pat and tourist markets since sliced bread? Darrel
I saw a big bagel advert outside the bakery at the Avenue recently. Apparently there's a guy in Bangkok selling bagels for over 100B each and doing a roaring trade. Presumably at that price they are filled with something. I've never liked bagels. Dont know why as I like just about every other sort of bread.
giddyup
I miss Peck's Paste. It's fish paste in a very small tin, great for spreading on toast.
