Sending Clothes From The Uk To Bkk

Featured Replies

Hello All :)

My Thai Wife and myself wanted to send some clothes to her children in BKK, have 6 dresses, 3 shorts and 5 t-shirts.

Does anybody have any ideas on the BEST way to send them and Cost ??? Was thinking of going to the Post Office.

Also does anybody know the Cost at the other end, the parcels destination.

Many Thanks

Alan Day

Shouldn't be too expensive but keep the package as small as possible and won't be too much. Use the post office normal post, tick the gift box, describe them as 'used kids clothing' and with a low value declared (25pounds?) and they should avoid import duty.

Get your wife to write the address in Thai. I have always found greater succes than having the address written in english.

Just to let everybody know.

I sent two parcels with the Post Office ( Airmail ) 5 - 10 days

1. £20.18 1.482kg

2. £21.40 1.512kg

ticked the gift box, wrote on the ticket used clothes, wrote the address in thai, but with THAILAND in English.

thanx again for your help.
