Ordered a starter at 65 baht, a main at 165 baht and a glass of wine.

Frankly, the food was not what it used to be with the starter and the meat seemingly supermarket sourced.

However, my main gripe is that when the bill arrived I was charged 195 baht for the starter. I queried this and was given another bill with the starter at 120 baht and the main now at 195 baht. I asked to see a menu and was given one with a sticker over the starter price and 120 baht handwritten. I did not recheck the main meal price but paid this bill in a bad grace and left obviously not to return.

Not huge amounts but I do not think that these were merely mistakes and nobody likes to be cheated. Check your bill if you go here.

I'm sorry to hear that as this restaurant used to be one of my favourites....their formula was spot on, good food, good value, good service and good atmosphere (before it was enlarged that is). Many restaurants in Pattaya slip up during the early part of the high season by not updating their menus but charging the new prices or by just fixing a sticker with the increased price handwritten on the sticker. I think that some conspiracy took place in your case...... Not good.

Fair call....

I hate it when they take menus away after you order. each table should have its own menu, that stays at the table....I guess you could always ask for the menu to be left as you might want to order something more later or better still that you are expecting friends to join you....
