I really do not think Thai people expect us Farangs to know when and how to wai and they do not get worked up about it. So it was Prem and me in the airport (and two helpers walking behind him) I decided I don't care. I sit there. Actually I wouldn't have greeted him as I don't greet anyone else who passes me on the airport. When he passed me, he waved his hand (like you meet a friend), smiled and said load "Hello".
