BANGKOK: -- The government will not decide on its next move towards charter change until a study of the Constitution Court verdict and the individual opinions of the eight judges has been completed, Council of State secretary general Achaporn Charuchinda said on Tuesday.

"The push for charter change should be put on hold pending the study of the verdict," he said.

The council will outline its recommendations for the government to respond to and comply with the judicial decision following the release of the verdict and individual opinions, Achaporn said.

The high court's verdict and individual opinions will be released through the publication in the Royal Gazette in the next two weeks.

In regard to the question about holding a referendum to seek the people's mandate before drafting the charter amendments, he said if the high court were to instruct that a referendum be held, then the government and Parliament were obliged to comply.

Should the verdict state that the referendum was a non-binding judicial idea, then this would hinge on a political decision on whether to carry out the vote, he added.

PT and Reds still manically focused on doing whatever they can to bring back their hero, enable him to get 46 billion baht from Thai gov't coffers, and to forgive violent Red/Black Shirts for their law breaking escapades.

Reminds me of being compelled, one time, to take my gf's cat to be euthanized. I put it in a cardboard box, but it was so manic to get out, it pushed itself out of the box with me using all my strength, trying to keep it in. It then manically dashed all over the house, looking for a way out. In this instance, the political cat wants a way in, but is no less determined.

Well, more exactly 46 billion Baht more from tax payers money. Thai gov't coffer sounds like the government has money by them self. But in fact it will be stolen from us all.

And not only these 46 billions. They are additional to what the currently steal.

and they are still too scared to say what changes they want to make?

The Reds don't have a clue what they're demonstrating about. They're told to be jubilant, so they act jubilant. They're told they should be angry, so they act angry. It doesn't hurt to pay them a few hundred baht and bus them down from their rice fields and mom & pop shops in the sticks. Oh, and give them a free T-shirt and an energy drink. They'll follow you anywhere, and scream when you hold up the 'scream' sign.

Actually, they do have a clue, but it's just a clue. The clue is, they think that getting Thaksin back (and not locked up) will bring them a load of money. If there was no money in the equation, they'd be drinking back at the farm.

The grass roots Thais will either learn in time or too late.

See that picture above of the Constitution Court I was wondering what happened to the ninth dwarf.... Windy. Did he just take a powder or has he resigned?
