So he is actually saying that all the criminals, corrupt politicians {and there is a lot}, people who over stay there visas and on and on should be forgiven and patted on the back

Visa overstay is a "politically motivated charge"

the sheer fact that he makes such comments is proof beyond reasonable doubt that the cult he created around him has lost ground.

It is a blunt move to put person above countries politics.

Yet PT is believed to be driven by this cult phenomenon, the ultra rich man - poor man saga continues

Two Asian recipient of the Nobel Peace price, Jose Ramos and Aung San Suu Kyi, side with Thaksin. These people have been recognized by the international community as the moral leaders of democracy and the free world in Asia. They can't be that wrong.

Open your eyes, the world is telling you who is the good guy.

Some will tell you that foreigners (westerners) don't understand Thailand. But these two guys are Asian and genuine freedom fighters. Maybe it's time you stop believing the propaganda of some failed politicians and other bankrupt press magnate and listen to the world.

When and what did ASSK and Ramos specfically say they sided with Thaksin?

Btw, ASSK isn't there at the forum.

Btw, sitting beside someone doesn't necessarily mean you "side with" them.

One is inclined to ask, ''Just how many million reasons does Thaksin have for an amnesty as opposed to everyone?''

Yet again we see clearly demonstrated Thaksins arrogance and his contempt for basic common decency, and justice along with his delusional behavior pattern.

He is on the run he broke his bail he is a fugitive .Is he prepared to forgive and forget ?

That, ''forgive and forget scenario from Thaksin would be comparable to a chicken going to the dentists for a check up!!

All Thaksin wants is to get back to getting his hands into the state coffers and to occupy the seat of power irrespective of how it is done and at what cost.

About 46 billion reasons.

"Everyone says the same thing"

Complete lie

You beat me to it, but my question is. Whome is everyone? The man seems desperat.

Everyone who agrees with Thaksin of course.

Anyone who doesn't, does not count to him.

Such UTTERV B.S.

Please show just ONE ARTICLE, not connected with Robert Amsterdam,

that shows that these two persons you mention agree with Thaksin getting an amnesty for his charges.

Their own words, actually quotes stating this.

Attending a forum and doing a photo op via telephoto lens to make them seem closer together,

is not the same thing as "going on record agreeing with his claims."

"Everyone says the same thing, that reconciliation must include amnesty," he told a panel discussion at the Strategic Review Forum in Jakarta.

Except for k. Abhisit and k. Suthep of course. Also the mother of a volunteer paramedic who died at Wat Pathum Wanaram during the political turmoil in 2010 and recently might have given a statement to a prosecuter of the ICC seems less inclined. Even phiphidon is blaming k. Abhisit for setting up the TRCT without real powers. ermm.gif

I'm sure that Thaksin would never do two years, probably not more than one hour. The reason he so desperately wants amnesty is likely because as a convicted criminal he can't be prime minister and the red shirt leaders want amnesty as well. Jatuporn, Nuttawhut and the rest have their televised statements about burning city halls etc. hanging over their heads for any future government to use against them.

It's preposterous. The Thai press is capitalizing on him every day to sell papers and sensational him while referring to him as a "fugitive." Maybe he should be granted amnesty under the strict condition that he not run for any public office. The press should detach from him.

Is it not a crime in this corrupt country for politicians to have contact with convicted criminals who have evaded the law?

don't think so.

Unless that person is for example the PTP House Speaker, and is caught on tape taking orders from that convicted criminal who is also resident of a foreign nation and has large foreign business interests.

That is a very serious crime indeed!

Possibly not "contact". How about "aiding and abetting"? Or "Politicians/public servants accepting financial inducements"?

Just to remind all that this is not about Thaksin

Meanwhile, Pheu Thai Party deputy spokesperson Sunisa Lertpakawat said she believed the Democrats have lost touch with reality by proposing strategies to develop the country that have no specific target and lack details. "The Democrat plan focuses only on winning elections but they have not touched on political morality and ethics. Their plan is only to bring Abhisit, their leader back to power,'' she said."

As opposed to the PTP policies to bring Thaksin back, bring Thaksin back, bring Thaksin back and bring Thaksin back.

It isn't an ID tag, it's a sign that says "Unclean"

In twelve languages, so that no one is in any doubt. (Thai not being one of them, so he can't read it himself)
