Potassium NItrate is also known as "Saltpeter" and is a mild diuretic I believe. Pharmacies used to sell it. Of course it is does have other uses.

i can supply if you need it for 100bt per kg(food grade).. not sure what the real going rate is

we live around mabprachan lake

that is of course as long as its not a restricted sale item

It's two traditional uses, apart from food use, were 1/ Gunpowder (Black powder was Potassium Nitrate, charcoal and sulphur, and 2/ putting in the troops tea to reduce their sex drive (Salt Peter).

Hi,

You can try at “Suksapan Panich” in Bangkok. KNO3 is useful as a stump remover.

Exit from Ekamai bus terminal, turn left and just 30 meters to walk.

It's a goverment business. They sell school education material and some very basic chemicals and glassware.

It’s on your left side when you enter the shop.

โปตัสเซียมไนเตรด (Potassium nitrate) 450 g. KNO3 110,00 bahts.

If you melt it with sugar you can make a very effective smoke grenade, adding food colouring makes for coloured smoke. there is no explosion but a lot of smoke..

we used to use them in paintball/BB gun skirmishes.....

I don't know where to find pure saltpeter but i've bought 6% saltpeter (curing salt mix) from WWM CO. Ltd. here in Pattaya. 80-100B/kg.
