The one with the red flesh is a awesome stain, it doesn't come out of cloths.

You are not wrong about that.Have a look at this section from wikipedia.

I don't see how that useful Wiki info disputes what I said. Let me expand. If you eat it and dribble some of the red juice onto a white shirt, it is worse than red wine to get out. I personally like the taste or the red flesh more than the white one, but we buy the white one for the kids.

So I stand by my statement, if you wish to stain your cloths red, red the red flesh onto it.

It does seem to have a pretty impressive pedigree in the link above though.

Sorry if you misunderstood my post but I was agreeing with yours and just added the wikipedia info in as something extra.My apoligies.

i have eaten the white ones so often, and see this red fruit in all supermarkets - and wouldnt have made the link...

does anyone know how much it is?

Ron, no agro intended thumbsup.gif Yeah it really is Delicious. I have also seen pics of a yellow skin one with white flesh and black seeds, but never in real life. I remember seeing many of these plants in the fruit regions of Chanthaburi and Trat south of Pattaya, on the way to Cambodia.

I am the same as yourself and have not seen the yellow skin one,only in pictures.120px-Yellow_pitaya.jpg
