Best Place To Apply For A Double Entry Tourist Visa In The Region

Featured Replies

Hi. I'll be coming to Thailand in a couple of days. Due to a sudden change in my personal circumstances, I'm now able to stay in Thailand much longer than I had planned but it's too late for me to apply for any long-term visa from home. I've been reading some of the pinned threads but am not quite clear as to where is the best place for me to get a double-entry tourist visa in SE Asia. I'd like to make a trip of it and cost is not a major concern. I'll be using Chiang Mai as my 'base' for the duration of my stay and would be grateful for your suggestions.

Vientiane Laos is a good location for 2 entry tourist visas. Nok air fly's to Udon Thani from Chiang Mai and from there it is a short trip to the bridge in Nong Kai and on to Vientiane.

Thanks. Vientiane sounds good. I read somewhere that Savannakeht is also good for double entries too but I guess there are more things to see in Vientiane. Suggestions for a two-night/three-day stay would be welcome. smile.png

I believe that Vientiane ( in the region ) is currently the only place who issues double entry TR60 visas.

I recently received a double entry 60 day visa in Yangon.

Does anyone here having any recent experiences with double entry TR60 visas in Penang, Kota Bahru or Kuala Lumpur? Last reports I can find on this site are not recent. We are living on Koh Samui, so Malaysia is the most convenient option for us.

Any advice much appreciated.
