Cost Of Living

Featured Replies

How do you find the cost of living... those who live on Phuket as opposed to say Bangkok or other popular parts of the Kingdom?

Personally, I think the cost of living rises significantly by the month- esp. during the past 2 yrs. Food, fuel, and other 'essentials' are a lot more expensive than just a year or two ago......... yet salaries remain the same.

Any thoughts or comments?

I have the same experience in Bangkok, inflation have been much more than official nos report.

A retired friend keeps track of every Baht in MSN Money and his personal inflation rate have been about 10%/year the last 2 years.

Cheers!

to be fair i haven't really noticed the difference between here and Bangkok. I think i spend a lot more money in Bangkok just because there is a lot more to do there.

Agree about the salaries though :o
