I'm looking for some English language oral history sources on Thailand for the period which is within living memory.

1920 to the present day for example. Oral histories would be ideal but academic works that contain case studies would do at a pinch.

I would prefer non-political works or authors/editors, those concentrating on everyday lives and experiences. Anything along the lines of a Thai equivalent of the famous US oral historian Studs Terkel for example?

Any initial guidance would be most appreciated as this would be a project that would greatly interest me when I come to retire in Thailand.

Enough of the jokes about 'oral' already...coffee1.gif This is a serious request.
