I had heard this was part of Ram at some point. Is this a full fledged hospital? How are the facilities? Any particular specialties or lacking in any? I'm more interested if this is a good option for ER care. Thanks.

I don't know much about Theppanya hospital, mainly, they have 24 hours emergency center with ready to treat from emergency first aid until operation and I do not know about their ER care.

Theppanya hospital was called Chiang Mai Ram2 in 1993 (Chiang Mai Ram was started in 1991), then changed name to Theppanya hospital.

Excellent hospital. I was taken there for an emergency op a couple of months ago ( I would have died within 8 hours without the op).

The after care (8 days) was excellent. My only complaint- the bed was rock hard.

They really were very caring so I highly recommend it.
