I thought it was worth updating the pinned list of doctors (paging Tywais) with my most recent findings:

I've just returned from a consultation with Dr Kannika at Rajavej and was highly impressed, a Professor (Emeritus) at CMU she has taught two of the three gastroenterologists on the pinned list including Dr Piset at Sriphat and Dr. Ekacai Paiboonworachat at RAM. An older lady who is quite distinguished she speaks excellent English and has a very easy going style and is instantly likeable. Dr Kannika is very thorough in her questioning and note taking and doesn't sell unecessary tests or medicine, my consultation cost Baht 750 which included a two week supply of three different medicines. I've seen the two other doctors mentioned above and can comfortably say that if you are looking for the best gastroenterologist in town then Dr Kannika is an easy choice.
