A Question On Atv Registration

Featured Replies

You see increasing numbers of ATV's and various "quad" bikes both for hire and for sale, some with limited engine capacity, and some seriously large machines. I have never seen one that is registered for road use, hence my question.....What requirements are there on registraton?

Many are equipped with lights and indicators, which would lead me to believe that they were intended for road use at some stage, although as the name implies they are ATV's Anybody, any answers?wai.gif

ATV's are not road legal = no legal road registration possible.

Not 100% sure that is correct, have seen 2 with plates, looking out for them again found one of them the rider/owner was disabled, maybe like the Trikes of all engine sizes, the disabled riders can have plates/register them.

There does appear to be more and more people going around these days with No plates on, 110cc Trikes, ATV's and them golf cart things along the by roads and Villages..

Thanks for the link, interesting reading. Seems to be the TIT syndrome, just hop on it and drive. If stopped plead complete ignorance or in dire circumstances, produce "tea money" rolleyes.gif

They all seem to pass the buck "pai kong song dee gwar" Go to the DLT and they will do, which of course they will not, unless in a rural area I have since found out.
