I went Thursday, after my number was called took 7 mins for my extension, when I arrived 8 people in front of me, 3 hr 40 mins later my number was called.

So big changes, as you drive up the road the car park is all tarmac, walkways and trees........... as normal you go up the steps and open the door wow, now you enter a big room the whole ground floor is the office......... your given a number on entering.......row of 8 numbered desks + 1x for 90 day reporting, many chairs, 2 screen showing the called numbers and which desk.......... never seen any of the staff/officers before... now you get a Royal Thai Police Immigration bar code stuck on your passport.....

All I can say is it appeared that the 8 staff/officers spend a lot of time running about from desk to desk looking for the correct stamp and everyone had trays full of rubber stamps but never the right one..

​Every desk has a computer and a cam, it just appears now there is even more paperwork for them to do, as well as now putting everything on the computer, there's more books for them to fill out and takes forever.. also the submitted paperwork I noticed that all the Officers read every page, some people had many pages, before was just a quick flick through

I have always used the magnifying glass thing in green.......... hover over it. it says search, now trying with that white thing on the end hover over this says advance search......... wella come up with the old type search, enter Nonthaburi Immigration is that and sure get the list....

Maybe for some of use when the Format is changed a full written list of what does what would help ? what is it 2 years since this new format and still learning what things do, before I have learnt all, the format will change again. Joys of getting old I guess

From your description it looks to me like immigration is using Nonthaburi for on-the-job training of new officers, and they are also testing the new system of bar code ID that has been used temporarily at some other immigration offices.

I'm not sure what time you arrived, but the normal experience I and others have had is that if you show up when it opens it takes all of a couple of minutes to process through. Of course maybe that's changed and they're all trainees now, who knows? Hope this isn't the case when I need to visit again!

What did amuse me was the Officer at desk 8, she would deal with someone, do all the paperwork, photo, put on PC, fill in books, then pass all to a girl to write in yet another book, this girl would then put the paperwork/passports on a desk at the back.

The officer at Desk 8 would then get up and move to the desk at the rear, do a lot more reading and stamping for yet another girl to collect and call out the names for people to collect there passports..

As normal I went after lunch as normally the morning rush has gone and it is a 10 - 30 mins in and out at that time have been going there since they 1st opened........... When I was done it was 4:45 pm and there was at least 20 people still sat inside waiting !! Also could not work out people were still arriving and being given numbers !!? it is 4:45 ?

It appear that Desk 1 and 2 are youngsters checking paperwork/passport, I was called to Desk 1 as soon as I received my ticket No, Desk 3 and 4 is for some Asian.100% some were from Burma... Desk 5 is 90 reporting, Desk 6 was the girl with all the big books doing the final entries, but this desk also had a PC and Cam not used by the girl. Desk 7 & 8 appeared to be for others..

It is confusing with the ticket No, must be when you use the ticket the 1st time they than book which desk you go to, you then sit and wait for the number to be called for the 2nd time... suddenly called the number before me, Desk 4, next number after me Desk 3 err wait what happened to me? then notice called number was 5 numbers before me to desk 8........ bit confusing to say the least.

Desk 3 & 4 and 8 & 9 and the other 2nd rear desk with all Uniformed Officers

In the now one big room total ground floor there were 10 people behind the desks or in a little glass room, no end of people came and left both in normal dress and in uniform and went upstairs. No idea what is up there
