90 Day Report - Not Exactly 90 Days

Featured Replies

I was at the immigration on 17th of June doing the report + visa extension. Visa is valid until 16th but for the report I have to go again on the 11th ! That is almost one week less. Does anyone know why ?

What was the due date on the previous 90 day report? They may of started the 90 days on that date.

Edit: You can do your extensions early. You do not have to wait until the last day since the extension starts on the date of your previous extension. You have a 7 day grace period after the report date which would be later than your extension date anyway.

Why do you think they should agree?

Also, you are comparing September 11, 2012 to June 17, 2013!

Your extension cycle begins on the date the visa is granted. The 90-day reporting cycle, however, begins on the date you enter Thailand. Seldom, if ever, will the two dates be the same. And, the 90-day cycle resets if you leave the country but the extension cycle does not - another reason why the dates will differ.

The first 90 day cycle starts on the date you apply for extension of stay for the first time for most - a normal visa entry is for 90 days or less so does not require 90 day reporting.

where do u see 2013 ? It is 2012. I did both, report & extention on the same day, so I thought I have to show up again for both 90 day later. Anyway, if I do the extension a couple of days earlier I won't lose these days ?

No - extension of stay starts at end of current permitted to stay so no time lost in doing early - and it is best to always do early as you then have plenty of time to obtain anything that might be missing if requirements have changed.
