Sounds a weird question from me, but there's a reason. I'm in Pattaya for 2 more days, and I've been buying some items that are hard to find at my 'home' on Koh Phangan. I will make a trip soon back to Myanmar with useful items for the orphanages. One special item that I want to take are packs of reusable (washable) sanitary pads for teenagers. They also claimed it was the only way to prevent the electricity grid from becoming overloaded, saying Crimea is currently at risk of a power system-wide failure. The authorities also acknowledged that the restrictions would involve unplanned power outages. "As the decision to disconnect electricity consumers was made by the system operator, there are currently no precise hourly outage schedules for individual power grid districts. Outages will be implemented on a localized basis and as needed," the statement said. Krymenergo also said it could not specify when the electricity restrictions would be lifted. The plague wiped out 1/2 the country and destroyed the economy, multiple civil wars laid waste to the country, the environmental crisis of Europe in 1314-1316 that saw the country plunged into successive droughts that resulted in a continental famine, WWI, the Great Depression, WWII , the urban decay of the 1970's et al are periods that were far worse and that did far greater damage to the UK. And despite those horrible times, the country progressed and improved itself. It will do so again.
