Where/how To Get Non-Immigration B Visa Or 3 Entry Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Grateful for your advice and suggestions re the following. I am a UK citizen on a one year non-immigrant B visa which will expire in a few weeks. It was issued in the UK following a letter offering me employment at the University. I did take up the job but resigned a few weeks ago. While looking for another University job, I would like to apply for the same one year visa but was told you now require a solid job offer together with all sorts of documents the potential employer has to submit. I don't have such an offer as yet. Is this true? And if so what alternatives are there for a one year visa (exc Retirement Visa). If not are there any reputable legal firms/agencies that can facilitate this type of visa?

My other question is about getting a three entry tourist visa from one of the neighbouring countries. Is this fairly straightforward? Which Thai Consulate would you recommend? I am thinking of Penang or KL.

Thanks so much for your help.

No you can not obtain a multi entry non immigrant B visa without actual work in the area and you are not likely to obtain more than a two entry tourist visa at any Consulate in the area and do not believe either Consulate in Malaysia is likely to issue - more likely just single entry. For two entry Vientiane and Savannakhet seem to be the best choice currently - especially if you can not prove you are really a tourist.
