i only need a new 30 day if i was to fly out to cambodia and stay two nights then fly back would this allow me a new 30 day stamp???

It depends on your nationality.

But if you qualify, you can return the same day/hour. There is no requirement to spend a minimum amount of time outside Thailand.

well thats that booked the 2 nights will do for a change i suppose not bad its about the same for 2 x border runs anyway and i hate those bloody buses.
