People who support Cashless Society
Same experience here I get held up by poeple who haven't got round to taking their money out of their wallet then have to wait for them to receive their change... I also get help up by people who haven't got round to taking out their phone and turning on their app ready do scan. Then I often witness the person in front paying quickly with the right change, getting a receipt and leaving. I also mostly witness the person in front with their App ready to scan. I Europe I witness people tapping a button on their phone and scanning in seconds. I also witness people just tapping a card. ------------ @ both Lorry and Jas007 - you have isolated a single facet of society, the slow people, who slow you down and used them as a generalised argument to dislike a whole system - when in reality the slow person with the phone, is the same person who is slow to get their wallet, is slow to get on an escalator, is slow to get in and out of an elevator, never has their keys ready when they get to their house and instead fumbles for minutes... I summary - you are drawing on flawed anecdote to make a generalisation. -

Do I Need to Pay Tax in Thailand on Cryptocurrency Gains from Bitkub?
Any money made inside Thailand is regarded as Thai income and Bitkub is inside Thailand. So it's taxed as personal income tax in the usual bands. Would be a different situation if you were trading in some other country like the US, especially if you're a non US citizen. Kraken. -

Taxation Registration
Further to this - I had this done during the days when COVID was just starting, so I disliked the idea of travelling to Bangkok (as travel inside Thailand was becoming difficult). It turns out (for foreign marriage certification) there was a translation service company in Bangkok that offered this service. I had to provide them limited power of attorney, courier a bunch of documents (passport copies, original marriage certificate, wife's ID copy ... etc.. ) and they DID ALL THE LEG WORK - going to Canadian Embassy, going to MOFA, doing translations ,etc ... and courier back all official completed/approved documents. Prior to sending such to Bangkok, and I was griping/bitching on this forum that it looked to be a PIA, and Ubon Joe (rest his soul) set me straight, advising me to look for a translation service which for a nominal amount of money would handle all of such. Is that applicable to you? I don't know. Perhaps you tried such already with a service which did not know how to properly do this? or perhaps its not practical. Before doing such my Thai wife and I did carefully communicate with the translation service to confirm they knew exactly what had to be done, and after, before proceeding, that we double checked to confirm what they stated was correct (ie contacted both the Canadian Embassy and MOFA prior) -

Do I Need to Pay Tax in Thailand on Cryptocurrency Gains from Bitkub?
Hi everyone, I’m currently trading cryptocurrencies on Bitkub, and I’m wondering about the tax obligations in Thailand regarding crypto gains. Specifically: • Are profits from trading cryptocurrencies taxable in Thailand? • If yes, what kind of taxes apply, and how should I report them? • Are there any exemptions or specific thresholds I should be aware of? I appreciate any insights or advice from those who have experience with this. Thank you in advance! -
