I live in a very rural area. They don't mess with the power lines but they keep stealing the copper telephone trunck lines. Climb the pole, cut the line, hook it to a vehicle and off in the other direction until they have enough. Happened 4 times in the last 3 years and takes TOT forever to run new lines.

Is there anybody at home when the thief pull the telephone line? After that, what steps you take to prevent the reoccurrences.
