My plan is - if is posible?

Depends on where and if you can obtain the three entry visa (some are only valid for 3 months from date of issue). Another option would be a two entry tourist visa and extend each stay by 30 days at 1,900 baht. Only one exit of country required so likely a bit cheaper. In any case there is no need to stay outside of Thailand more than a few minutes unless you want to do so.

You don't need to a 3 entry to get 6 months of stay. You can extend each 60 day entry by 30 days at any immigration office. A 3 entry visa can give you a total of almost 9 months.

You do not have to fly out and back you can also do it overland. You can do either and stay only hours if you wish.

Also please be aware that the validity of the visa starts on the date it issued.

A Tourist Visa gives a stay of 60 days.

It can be extended by 30 days at Immigration in Pattaya.

A Double entry will give a total of 6 months

If you can get a triple it will give 9 months.

You will have to do a border run after 90 days

The validity period of the visa is only the amount of time you have to use the visa entries not the total amount of time you can actually stay in the country.

When you enter Thailand you must check you are given a 60 day Visa when you enter.

It's fairly common that they only stamp 30 days (or 14 days if entering by land) by mistake.

If they make a mistake and you don't notice you will be charged 500bht a day overstay.

(Just met a tourist yesterday they did this to, fined 17,000bht)

Get the three tourist visas in your home country before coming to Thailand. The extra cost for the third visa is cheaper than getting the 2 extensions at bt1900 needed to make it to 180 days 2 visas+extensions will give you(that might not cover your 6 months depending on the length of the months involved, and you could end up with overstay charges), and the cost of doing a border run an extra time.

You will have to do at least one border run either way, the cost of that can be cheap if VIP comfort isn't required, and you plan it yourself. You can also go with established border run companies for bt2000, and that covers the visa into the other country. That saves you about bt600+ depending on how you do it, and gets you out of the country an extra time to look around, instead of sitting at immigration all day waiting to get an extension.

Under the 3 visa plan you do an extra border run at bt2000 max as opposed to 2 extensions under the 2 visa plan at bt3800, and the extra tourist visa is cheaper than bt1800 by about bt600. It also saves a full day going to immigration for one of the extensions. The other day you would have spent getting the other extension is spent doing a border run.

The 3 visa plan also gives you breathing room if there is some problem leaving the country at the end of your trip when you planned to. You still have the ability to get a 30 day extension at the end of your trip(the airport might close from demonstrations again, or some other disaster might happen preventing you from leaving Thailand on time).

Always leave yourself breathing room in case of emergencies. Under the 2 visa+extensions plan there is no room for error in when you leave the country, especially for an unplanned delay, and depending on the length of the months involved during your trip you might still have overstay charges.

Hi,

I have got an offshore company, and I want to buy a flat in Thailand. If I have got a 6 month Visa, and in this period I buy the flat, after that can I stay for years without Visa?

Thx Jack

No. But if more than a 10 million baht investment you might qualify for one year extensions of stay from Immigration - be sure to record arrival of money and use on proper forms if this is your intent.
