Watching The Premier League Around Nimman

Does anyone know a good place to watch the Premier League football around the Nimman/Huey Kaew area that has English commentary? Not having to sit on a wooden stool for the duration of the evening would be a bonus also. I know there's a lot of options on the other side of town but I've never able to find a place close to here. Thanks!

Do you have access to WETV? The Vietnamese sport channel shows as many as 5 Premiership games live every weekend with English commentary which you can watch at home. Not sure if your area is set up for cable TV though.

Yeh I have the Vietnamese channel, which is great :) But I've got some friends in town and we are wanting to watch the big games on the weekend somewhere close to their hotel (on Nimman)

Several bars in the enclave behind the bikky bikes opposite Hillside 4, all have tv screens...

downsides: yes wooden stools is the norm; sometimes the time difference means you may only see the first half before they have to close (or not at all for evening game)

commentary most likely in Thai....dont forget not many farangs drink around there so why have in English

but if you have a group of dollys watching a rivetting soap, you have no chance of seeing a game.

Yeh I realise wooden stools and Thai commentary is the norm, I've tried most of the bars out just to make sure whistling.gif I was just hoping there was some magical place I'd missed! Someone needs to open a Sports Bar down Nimman quick tongue.png

Thanks True Blue! Funny you said Furama, I used to live there but totally forgot about the Lobby, doh. Big TV, comfy chairs and a decent bar. You can also watch on the rooftop if it's an early game but the screen isn't as good.
