Ps2 To Usb Won't Work - Any Suggestions

I have a laptop with usb and a ps2 keyboard - i bought a ps2 to usb adaptor to connect.they SHOULD work but I get a windows (xpsp1) error saying "windows error - device not recognized". Any suggestions? Seeing that the keybord should not need any drivers I cannot figure out why it is not working - model is a genius kb-06x

Try running add hardware from the windows control panel and tell the computer what it is. Believe that will probably work. A lot of keyboards do have specific drivers but if that is not listed a generic will probably work.

Plug the keyboard and Restart your laptop.
