Suspiciously Cheap Offers - What's The Point?

Recently I've noticed several postings on Classifieds@TV where people are selling business suspiciously cheap.

Something like several millions THB capital sold for $300.

What's the point of such a bargain? Is it a scam or something?

15,000 Baht for a few million of goods....very unlikely, Never seen a business for sale that cheap...call/email them to find out what the score is.

"capital" refers to "nominal" capital which does in most cases not exist because it was never paid up. there's nothing illegal about that procedure. a scam seems to be the purchase price of $300 because (depending on capital) establishing a Thai company costs at least 30,000 Baht.

if there is a backlog in unpaid taxes and "un"filed tax returns $300 might be a fair price.
