Bangkok Bank Ncc And Iban

Featured Replies

Someone needs to send me money and they say they need my NCC (National Clearing Code) and possibly IBAN. I'm with Bangkok Bank. Does anyone know what these codes would be?

Thailand does not subscribe to the IBAN system.

He needs your SWIFT code and account number.

They typically also require the name address and phone of the recipient.

He already has that, so I'm not sure why he needs those. He transfers to bank accounts often so he knows what he's doing. I sent him that link. Hopefully it will help. Thanks for that

Well then politely suggest that the person he is dealing with in his company or bank is an idiot and suggest he talk to someone else or educate them.

Probably just use to sending money around Europe and just a few other countries where the IBAN is used; but the rest/majority of the world don't use IBAN. See nexronx99's post above for the info required to get the money to your Thai bank account....be sure he uses the exact same spelling of your name as you have on your Thai bank account...probably should also include the address of your Bangkok Bank branch.
