Confirmation Of Exit/entry With Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa?

Featured Replies

hello!

i would like to apply for a triple-entry tourist visa. this is possilble at the thai embassy in vienna.

they are asking me for confirmed tickets for leaving the country (and maybe even for coming back??) and confirmed accomodation.

the question is: if i have confirmed tickets, do i have to use exactly this way of leaving the country or is it just for the application?

could i book a flight to, lets say singapur, not use it and have a normal visarun on the landroute?

does anyone actually check the bookings after i get the visa confirmed at the embassy?

can i get another 60 days on the multiple tourist visa if i leave and come back on the landroute?

thanks a lot for all infos!!

It might be, they're looking for a ticket back to austria or to a location, you either have a visa for, or do not need a visa for (Europe, me think).

And I got told, some embassy isn't accepting a flight to Singapore, KL, or..., without another flight ticket from there..

But usually, a ticket, leaving the country, in the ending time of the validity of the visa, should be ok.

I did hear, that the 'Muenchen' consulate is not so strict, A ticket is/was a ticket for them. in the past, in special for 2 or 3 entry tourist visas.

Usually, in Europe, a consulate is mostly 'best choise'.

But mail and ask. They usually tellin you, what to bring. Beside the money, they wanna earn.

And you don't have to use this ticket, you can leave at any border, , you want.

Also you can apply for another tourist visa, up to 2 entries, in Laos. With visa runners, no flight to Thailand/from Thailand needed. Cost from Bkk approximately 3800 Baht for service include visa fee

You are aware of extension options, means 3 entries plus 3 times 30 days extension, is almost 270 days in total?

2 entries ~ 180 days

Many consulates/embassies aren't mention that, to sell you triple entry, instead of 2, even some denying such option!

btw: a 2 or 3 entry visa is no multiple entry visa. It's exactly 2 or 3 entries, as long you don't get re-entry permits stamped/paid in the passport, before leaving, to save the time left, on your last entry stamp.

I entry tourist visa is a single, 2 or more is a multiply tourist visa. Around 60 days go to immigration in Thailand extend for 30 days, before that 30 days is up do a border run to activate second entry of 60 days. Repeat step 1 for another 90 days. I would do as your Embassy ask as they are the people issueing the visa. You could book a ticket open for 1 year and not have to book a specific date.

When you get the visas check the use by date as most places only give you 6 months to use a multiply entry tourist visa and some only 3 months. This means the last tourist visa has to be used by this date or it is null. In some cases this will not allow you to use the 30 day extension for all of the entries. I talked to a Germany fella who had went to the immigration for 30 day extension and immigration would not do the 30 day extension as this would have caused him to lose the last entry.

You can always purchase an air ticket, refundable upon cancellation. Show, tell and cancel later for refund if you are not going to use it.

Wrong. Non immigrant visas are sold as single or multi entry. Tourist visas are sold for specific number of entries and are not referred to as multiply or multiple entry but as one, two, or three entry.

OP: no you would not have to use any of the tickets/reservations presented for visa issue once you travel - that information is only for issue of visa.

Non-Immigrant B visa.can be issued for double entries, too. I got one in Kota Bahru. Ok, it was back in the good times, when Thai Airways flew from Phuket to Narathiwat, Singapore, ....., !

thanks lopburi 3! this is what i needed :) so i can renew the visa by just having a usual visarun on the landroute, lets say to mayanmar? i just want to make sure that this works out because nowadays they make a difference between air- and landroute. thanks a lot for your help!

There is only a difference if you enter Thailand with a visa exempt entry, in otherwords when you don't have a visa.

For persons who have a visa it doesn't matter how the enter, by air or by land.
