BANGKOK: -- Fugitive ex-PM Thaksin Shinawatra has a busy 24 hours ahead of him as he is scheduled to be in three countries in one day.

Thaksin left Singapore in the morning for Brunei to congratulate the Sultan and his family on the wedding on their daughter before proceeding to Cambodia, his legal adviser; Noppadon Pattama said Tuesday.

Thaksin, brother of PM Yingluck Shinawatra, was in Singapore during the weekend reportedly to see Formula 1's night race.

Noppadon claimed that Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong hosted a meal for many VIPs including Thaksin on Monday.

He said Thaksin will today travel to Brunei to congratulate the Sultan of Brunei's daughter Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah and her new husband Pengiran Haji Muhammad Ruzaini. They wed in an extravagant ceremony five days ago. Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah will host a dinner for Thaksin, Noppadon said.

Thaksin will play golf with Cambodia's Prime Minister Hun Sin on Wednesday morning, Noppadon said, adding their meeting would involve politics.

His visits to the three countries are intended to build up mutual relations with leaders of those countries. His visit to Singapore was also aimed at observing tourism to help Thailand improve its tourism plans, he added.

Thought he wanted out of politics?

Luckily it will most likely rain in Cambodia on Wednesday morning but the self appointed ambassador to Thailand will continue his "milk run" and feed his ego that he actually somehow represents Thailand !! jerk.gif But the fact Thailand's official representatives do nothing other than endorse this behaviour by their silence, shows how abominably weak they are. There should be extradition requests at each point showing displeasure of the Govt of Thailand but then that would be asking too much of these passive socialist puppets and thieves. ph34r.png

And what did the one government that might actually be interested in tracking down and arresting this Fugitive from Junta Justice do? Nothing but lie.

The Truth About Interpol Warrant for Thaksin

Now the truth that had been kept secret during the two and a half years when the Democrat-led government was in power has finally come to light when new Foreign Minister Surapong Towijakchaikul revealed that ousted former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra was never on the wanted list of International Police, or Interpol, from the start.

It is unbelievable that the Interpol warrant for Thaksin that had been trumpeted about by the Democrat-led government has turned out to be just a hoax.

What surprises me is Singapore's accepting his visit !!

Why should they not ??

The rest of the world does not regard him as a criminal.

( I might, but I'm not the rest of the world.....)

Quite true philw.

Good point, but can you explain why he does not come back to Thailand? He keeps saying he's really enjoying his jet setting lifestyle, but it must get lonely at 30,000 feet.

Everything is controlled by him and as an innocent man, he should have no problem passing through the airport. Everyone there knows who he is.

I thought since Temasek was scammed in what appeared to be a pump and dump they would like a few words ... but not so!

He invited himself to Singapore.

Cambodia and Brunei are countries that welcome criminals. No surprise here.

Blokes got plenty of money. Can jet to GP and lunch with PM. Are you jealous?

This is news worthy? Seriously?

No, but when it's a slow news day, anything with the word Thaksin in it, to gets the hornets nest active.

Well if he is not I am. But that is not where I would spend my money.

He is the de facto leader of Thailand so I would say what he does is newsworthy.

But if the media would simply ignore him and stop reporting on the fugitive in Dubai then he would not be the de facto leader of anything. Publicity and power are his oxygen, if you cut either off the other will go as well, and so will Thaksin.

I like this part

"He said Thaksin will today travel to Brunei to congratulate the Sultan of Brunei's daughter Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah and her new husband Pengiran Haji Muhammad Ruzaini. They wed in an extravagant ceremony five days ago"

Didn't even go to his own daughters wedding. He was invited but choose t stay away.

Some thing about paying a debt he didn't want to pay. Hard to tell his mouth was open a sure sign of a lie.

Shame he missed out on the Sultan of Brunei's daughter's wedding.

He could have saved a lot of time and air travel and met the Sultan, his sister PM Yingluck, his cousin Foreign Minister Surapong, Hun Sen, and Lee Hsien Loong all in one place there.

You are new here so you would not know. Thaksin gave them medical but it cost them every time they went to the hospital. Abhist dropped the charge and now Thaksin is back and the fee is back.

Never mind that it creates a money loss effort the hospitals. It costs them about 40% more to process it than it brings in.

Where does the money come from for much needed equipment and competent doctors.

Answer no where. do with out.

Well i hate to say it, but if 30 baht discourages frivolous visits, it's worthwhile. Abhisit with his ppe degree should have known that making it absolutely free is actually not economically optimal.

100 baht is probably even a more optimal figure.
