Can Anyone Recommend A Nice, Cheap, Nature Area (W/lodging) W/in A Few Hundred Miles Of Pattaya

Looking to get away from the incessant traffic and hustle and bustle of Pattaya. Would like to know if there are any nice areas around here where you can just get away. Even some small village somewhere, if it has a decent hotel with WiFi. Prefer a few hundred miles out, not too much more than that. Don't want to spend too much on 5 star hotels...just something medium priced (900 THB/night). I don't care if there is much to see in terms of tourist attractions, I just want calm, a decent hotel, and good Wifi. Would like nature around as well.

The beaches around the Laem Sing area in Chanthaburi have good reasonably priced hotels & there are interesting natural attractions there.

Hat Chao Lao, Laem Sadet,Koong Wiman , better on week days, very few foreigners, light traffic, good roads , 2/3 hours easy drive from Pattaya.

Up around Kanchanaburi area is also very good.

Kanchanaburi or Khao Yai/Pak Chong are both excellent destinations, and the drive to Khao Yai is easy and pleasant. Nice hotels in both areas for B1000 or less. The climate in Khao Yai is better, but Kanchanaburi has more to do and see. You could do both (north to Khao Yai and then west to Kanchanaburi) and still stay within your few hundred miles of Pattaya restricition.
