Malaysia - Banks Atm Fees

Featured Replies

Would anyone have knowledge which banks in Malaysia are better for withdrawing funds from their ATMs regarding the fees charged using a foreign card?

It is many years since I have visited Malaysia and will be travelling there next week.

Any information is appreciated.

There are no fees levied by ATMs in Malaysia. The fees are the usual International usage fees that are levied by your bank.

Thanks for the information.

I would only widthdraw funds from CitiBank or HSVC banks by ATM.

OI withdrawn before funds from MayBank, CIMB and both time the Malaysian network was down but funds have been deducated from my account in Germany.

The problem according to the local banks is they are forced to use the network from Telecom Malaysia but foreign banks interlink with a network in Singapore.

I would never ever widthdraw funds from a Malaysian bank on an international card.

I also had problems withdrawing funds with a local AM Bank card just recently

Unfortunately, it is the only way I can get cash using an international card.

Will only be in Malaysia approximately thirty hours, but I still need cash.

Just keep fingers crossed there is no problem.

Never had a problem using Maybank ATMs. No fees. That's how it should be here!

No problems with those banks using my UK cards.

Same here, done it for years, countless times without a hitch.

Is with withdrawal limit at ATM's still RM1,500? I heard it was possible to withdraw RM3000 somewhere also?
