Have any of you TVers ever booked a trip to the Maldives from CM? I know you can't fly direct, I'm just looking for any experiences/recommendations of companies/airlines I could use.

Can't answer your question but there must be a number of options as there is currently a big promotional push for Thais to travel there on holiday. I think Kasikorn Bank just had a promotion for a package holiday in the Maldives.

So have I and messing around changing planes seems silly - just fly direct with Bangkok Airways - simple !

Just checked cost return 17,500

Is it an expensive place to visit?

according to Agoda... simple decent hotels from around 55 USD/night all the way up to 1000 USD/night... take your pick
