Made another border run last Friday, was tired as hell. Only the next day I noticed that they placed the stamp not on my passport page, but on the Departure card attached to it.

On one hand this can be a good event of saving the precious real estate of my passport, full of other stamps and visas.

On another hand, I'm not sure any stamp not on the passport's protected paper is valid.

Any experience having stamps away from the main passport pages?

Look harder in your passport. Normally they do both. My bet is it's there. Pretty sure that the stamp in the passport is the only thing that really matters.

Had the same problem at Poi Pet doing my visa run,

the guy who looked in a bad mood, just looked at my passport and with a flick of the wrist waived me away, the exit slip was stamped by the entry officer but not my passport.

I hope i do not get any grief on my next visa run.

If in Bangkok, go to the immigation office to have it corrected and the stamp placed in your passport. If not in Bangkok, go to the immigration office but be prepared that they will send you back to the border to fix it there.

Guess, I was still under the border run hangover effect %) You're right NomadJoe, the stamp on the page was hidden in the jungle of other stamps. Thank you for the good guess!
