September 30, 201213 yr Dropped the phone into the sea and now it doesn't turns on. Please suggest me a quick service on Koh Samui for repair of mobile phones without sending in Bangkok. Thank you!
October 1, 201213 yr throw it away, electronics that stay more than 5 minutes in sea water are damaged beyond repair.
October 1, 201213 yr For now buy a cheap 400 Baht one from a phone shop or tesco. Take off all the covers and remove the battery and leave in the sun for a day. After a day put it in a container filled with rice and leave for a few days. There is though a good chance it is not going to work again

October 1, 201213 yr Author Thanks for all! But anyway, maybe someone knows good and quick repair service? How it looks like inside:
October 1, 201213 yr For any chance of it to work again it has to dry out completely. That isn't quick. If quick is required than as said a cheap phone till yours is dry is the only way to go. Up to you as they say here.

October 1, 201213 yr Author So, it cleared in BigC, but nothing changes. Maybe you, guys, was right that I need to buy a new one Last hope to service in Bangkok.
October 2, 201213 yr 99% of today's smart phones dropped into fresh water will never work again, sorry to say. (Even just a minor dunk lets water in through the charger port, earphone socket, sd card slot, gaps around the buttons etc) But salt water! The corrosion factor will take care of that last 1%. Looking at your photos - it's the same effect as pouring acid all over the phone's circuitry. Sorry but that's one cooked phone! R Edited October 2, 201213 yr by robsamui
