Which Bkk Airport Is In Operation?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

So my family are flying into Suvarnabhumi airport in a few weeks time. However, when I try to book a flight to the same airport, I get a warning that as of next month, the airport in operation will the Don Mueang (DNK).

My family aren't sure if the airport they are arriving in will be changing automatically, and I can't seem to book a flight to Suvernabhumi. Does anyone have any insights?

Thanks in advance

What's your starting point???

My family are flying in from Europe.

Myself: Chiang Mai.

Air Asia flights are transferring to Don Mueang from 1 Oct. So if you are getting an Air Asia flight to/from Bnagkok from next month onwards then you will fly to/from Don Mueang.

You're trying Air Asia ? they are indeed moving to DMK today. You can search flights using www.flightstats.com to see which airlines use which airports.

Just to be clear are they already ticketed all the way from Europe to Bangkok and then to Chiang Mai ? ? ? or just Europe to Bangkok and you are trying to make domestic travel plans ?

If you want to stay at Suvarnabhumi suggest you look at Thai Airways, will be more money but will save you the connection between the airports especially on their return journey to Europe.
