Unregisterd Cars ?

Featured Replies

What is the story on the latest "crack-down" on unregistered cars, on the news this morning ?

Cars are being confiscated and the owner is given 30 days to clean the paper or the car is sold at auction.

I take it this is related to import cars where the tax etc has not been--finalised-- to ensure the car is 100% import legal.

Reason I'm asking is that some of my Thai friends have said that if you don't pay the road tax for a few years and even if the car is off the road and not used you will be fined.

Find that a bit hard to believe.

How do you get stopped if the car is "...off the road and not used...?"

That's what I was trying to tell them but, you can tell them a mile away but you can't tell them anything close up. smile.png

Only for imports according to my understanding :)

What your friends mean is car confiscated not you fined as in the Ferrari yesterday so they are correct.
