Former Rock Band Singer arrested on drug dealing charges in Sattahip

SATTAHIP:--A former singer in a Rock Band based at a Sattahip pub has reportedly opted for a change in career and is now suspected of selling drugs for a living.

On Sunday afternoon, the Royal Thai Navy Narcotics Unit conducted an undercover operation at a road-side restaurant in the Bang Saray area. He is alleged to have sold 17 Yabba Tablets to an undercover officer who was armed with marked bank notes. As soon as the transaction was complete, Khun Surasee aged 38 was arrested and escorted to his house located nearby.

During a search of the premise, further Yabba Tablets were found along with a small quantity of the class 1 drug Crystal Methamphetamine. During questioning Khun Surasee confirmed he was made redundant after his band failed to pull in the expected crowds at the popular pub in Sattahip. Music is all he knew and he was unable to gain further employment which led him to sell drugs instead.
