Bobcat
Has anyone on this board applied for Thai citizenship? If so, did you apply before or after you had your PR for 5 years? Thanks, Bob
CMexpat
Normal procedure now is to have the PR first and then apply for citizenship.
mangkorn
Normal procedure now is to have the PR first and then apply for citizenship. What do you need for a PR? Edited June 2, 2007 by mangkorn
sabaijai
Normal procedure now is to have the PR first and then apply for citizenship. I think the OP is asking whether anyone with PR has applied for citizenship before or after having had PR five years.
samran
when I went to the special branch to ask, the said that 5 years on PR was needed first (with at least 3 years of tax returns as well). If I was you, and you though you were in the position to qualify, I'd go down with all the relevant docs and ask. If I understand it correctly, they won't even begin to process your application unless you are qualified to do so. All the best.
