Extending A Non-B Visa

Featured Replies

I am one of the unlucky ones that their agency has dragged their feet in submitting the paper work for my work permit. They have as of this date done so but my non-B expires on the 10th of October and now, the wake up in the morning new law / requirement is that immigrations wants you to have at least 30 days left on your visa to get the one year stamp.

My question is can I extend my non-B for 30 days if I go to immigrations at Lakse and I pay the 1900 baht and explain the delay?

thanks for advise

No. You require a work permit for any employment extension of stay and the normal company paperwork/tax documents/income. With the receipt for work permit and company paperwork you should be able to obtain a new visa from a Consulate however.

Work permit should take maximum of 7 days. Get it as soon as possible before Oct. 10 and go to immigration. If you can go to the MOE and explain you need the W.P. now, then go and explain to Immigration...Just my thoughts if in your position. Or as stated get the receipt for the W.P. now and take that with you. Lopburi is very helpful in this respect and has helped me many times.
